My family is planning a trip to Vietnam next week from the 27th to the 31st and all excited and stuff but I was wondering if there are things/places/etc. (good and not so good) my family should watch out for there. I want to make the trip as enjoyable and safe as possible. Tnx you very much :)

I was there in February. While in Saigon, you should definitely book yourself on a tour to the Chu Chi Tunnels. These tunnels were used during the war by the North Vietnamese to sneak intelligence back and forth between the North and South. Some people argue it was a major factor in the North winning the war. They are pretty amazing!!! Takes half a day. Tour includes bus ride to and from, entrance fees, and tour guide. Well worth it and a great learning experience.

I reckon u should try visting some famous places in Ho Chi Minh City (ex: Independent palace [there're many foreign tourists come there], HCM museum in District 1, etc... Also, ur family could go shopping in some plaza (ex: Diamond Plaza, Saigon Square, Pakson...) Let's go to Binh Quoi too, u would eat Buffet with tasting Vietnamese foods... Oops, they're just my suggestion, u'd better ask someone else for more informations instead of trust a person who has poor knowledge like me! However, I wish u n ur family will enjoy in HCMC! ;)
