if you can afford it all the posh hotels have roof tops bars. nice but new york prices $5-$8 a drink[ go for one] the view from the "caravel" is great. other than that the backpacker area at phom ngu lau and de tam streets has a few crazy places. any taxi driver can take you to "apocolips now" and there are afew other placse near there. they just opened a "sax n art" at 28 le loi between the "rex" hotel and benh than market... and one of my favorites is "sheridans irish house "[ no kidding] 17 / 13 le thanh ton street... if you need a guide......

Check out the bars in backpack area - Pham Ngu Lao street. Try "Lost in Saigon", you meet lots of backpackers there.

I think you can go to the center, Ben Thanh market. IT have a night market there with food and shopping
